How to use argan oil most effectively

You may already know that Argan Oil has tremendous benefits for skin, hair and nails, but without proper application you may not be getting the full effect.

Below, we describe some of the best methods of using Argan Oil. These simple techniques will help you get the most from your Argan Oil and have you looking and feeling your best.

Using Argan Oil on your hair

Because of the high levels of Vitamin E found in Argan Oil, it repairs hair, prevents dandruff and promotes the growth of strong, shiny hair.

There are many ways to use Argan Oil to help your hair – in shampoo, as a conditioner or as a styling product – but the most effective way is to use it as an overnight hair mask.

To do this, apply a small amount to the palm of your hands, rub together then massage into your hair and scalp, working the oil through the ends of your hair. Wrap your hair in a towel (so you don't leave oil on your pillow) and wash it out in the morning.

This is an easy way to restore moisture to your hair, and can be repeated as often as necessary.

Using Argan Oil on your face

Argan Oil is a great moisturiser and anti-ageing product for your skin, with the added benefits that it doesn't clog pores or make you feel greasy.

Apply the Argan Oil to your skin (on your face, neck and décolletage) every day after washing and exfoliating. Because other products may interfere with your skin's absorption of the oil it's best to use it as a stand alone product.

Argan Oil can be used as a total body moisturiser. Either rub it directly onto your skin (always remember to exfoliate first) or add a few drops to your bath when you get in.

Using Argan Oil on cracked skin

Another great benefit of Argan Oil is that it can repair dry, cracked and damaged skin. One of the most common areas to do this is on your feet (especially the heels).

For areas like this, simply massage a few drops of the oil directly onto the affected areas on a daily basis. You should start to notice benefits quickly, and within a couple of months your skin will show huge improvements.

Using Argan Oil on nails

Just as Argan Oil has benefits for your hair and scalp, it can also strengthen your nails. Simply spread a few drops of oil over your nails and rub the area (including the skin around the nails) for a couple of minutes, repeating on a daily basis. You'll soon notice that your nails look healthy, crack less often and are less brittle.

As a beauty product pure Argan Oil is one of the most effective and versatile available, and it's one that has a proven track record with centuries of use by Berber communities.

If you've come across any other ways to effectively use your Argan Oil, we'd love to hear from you.
